Meet The Team

Giovani Casseus, MA
My name is Giovani Casseus. I recently graduated from Florida State University, where I studied and obtained my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with an Educational Specialist degree. Before obtaining my masters, I received my bachelors degree in Psychology, and a minor in Gender Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University. Throughout my time in my masters program Ive had the honor of being appointed to several clinical roles such as an Outpatient Therapist Intern at the Center for Couple and Family Therapy; and a Psychometrist Technician at North Florida Neuropsychology, a psychological private practice. My passion for counseling and wanting to help ameliorate issues related to trauma is heavily influenced by my personal experiences being raised in Sunrise, Florida, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. My upbringing here exposed me to the lifestyles of culturally diverse, and marginalized people who continue to experience undue hardships that increase the likelihood of experiencing trauma. My affinity for helping others has budded from my understanding of, and care for those who have been historically oppressed. My scholastic, research, and professional endeavors have been geared towards studying and working with diverse individuals, and trauma-related concepts.
